St. Nazaire, France 9/28/1935
Today you can be sure the radio has been on all the time, we have had Spain, England, Paris of course, Holland, and Das Große Vaterland only Kalundborg was silent but may be it was not working otherwise it would have been a treat to be at a concert together with you but the best part of the whole st3r was when we asked the director how much we owed him for the lamps and he said “Rien” (Nothing). The whole story has only cost us 50 francs which his workman got as a tip. Well done, ha? Then you don’t need to send money either. I will write more when and where later. You can be sure we are delighted with the radio, it is portable with built-in loudspeaker, built-in antenna, but we also have one in between the top of the mast so that we can reach farther. Now good night, we have to listen to the more stations.
Greetings, Else
