As you see we almost have a permanent stay in Dakar and now Restmore is tied up as good as possible since we now are in the Marines Dry Dock and the bottom is being painted. We are together with Belgian steamer that has rudder damage and will probably take a couple of weeks before we’re floating again. The steamer is paying 8000 francs to lay here, that includes us. Or to clarify we ourselves have paid by sailing the commander and his wife and 5 of his 6 children for a pleasant sailing trip with swimming. That was Easter day and included was also a children’s party for Lars’s birthday. The wife had a big cake along with the chocolate milk and with the dinnertime we anchored (in this case we sailed the ship on ground with the commandant on the tiller) and made a picnic on the beach together with the judge and his wife who preferred the car rather than our beautiful ship. It was a big success. And when we tied up in the evening with the Arsenal the commandant said, so now we are again your permanent living space and we have really arranged it very well here. If Peter needs some paint then he goes and picks it up by the supply center.
