The Rose I picked this morning reminded me of you.
The petals were kissed by sunshine and morning dew
Just like your face that could launch a thousand ships .
The rose was as soft as your luscious lips.
As I look at you know it seems you have grown stronger,
Day by day you grow more beautiful, and your scent lingers
longer,
So, I will tend to you carefully and give you all you need to
grow,
For without you in my garden what joy or peace would I know?
Carefully and gently, I hold you well.
So close do I that your sweet fragrance I smell,
long after your petals have fallen and your blooms are no more,
I
keep you in memory for my dreams to restore.
