The Unknown Soldier…(Tomb

An Unknown Soldier is laid
to rest
He is among
Although his name is hidden
from view
He gave his life for me and
you
Unknown Soldier, we owe you
a huge debt
You gave your life while we
peacefully slept
While in a foreign land or
distant shore
You paid the ultimate price…
how could we ask more?
Oh, soldier that lies in
these hallowed grounds
You lay silent not uttering
a sound
But your deeds speak volumes
of you
You are truly one of the
proud, and the few.
Unknown Soldier sleep
peacefully my friend
Your comrades in full dress
will guard you to the end
They walk their post 24/ 7
each day
It’s our nation’s gesture
for a debt we can never repay.
