Sunbeams
and Fairies ©
By Joseph P. Gimenez
2010 for the Red Hook Series
Sunbeams
they rain down on our earth each day
They
promise a brighter tomorrow today
They
like fairies are often quite bright
The
sunbeams by day and the fairies at night
In the
early evening when nature is still
And you
nod off to dreamland at a fairies will
You
dream of the future and all it may bring
While
you slumber the fairies at your bedside sing.
No one
has seen a fairy or at least I am told
But it
doesn’t matter for they never grow old
They are
a special gift from a long-lost friend
Who
waits and watches in this land of pretend?
Tomorrow
is another day, and sunbeams will appear
They
show you that there is no reason to despair
There
are many things in this world to make you smile
For
sunbeams and fairies were with you since you were a child.
