Memories and the soul

My mind plays tricks on me as the passing
years make me old
Still I keep the memories hidden deep
within my soul
No matter how much my mind fades away
My soul keeps them in safe keeping
to come to light one day
How grand it is to share your life
With friends you meet, your children, your
wife
All these things were given to you
For it.s not by
chance that you knew those you knew.
Yes my friend the years quickly pass
No matter though for your soul will last
Keep those memories alive within your soul
And with those tucked away you will never
grow old.
For my friends,
and loved ones making their way through life.
