When I close my eyes each night
I think of my day and if it were a delight.
I think of all my past accomplishments but much to my dismay.
I feel as though I had forgotten to play.
People’s dreams are weird and some are nice
But you only get to dream them once not twice.
Just like your day when it’s done it’s done
So don’t forget to go out and, have some fun.
People are clever and disguise their dreams
They become what they can’t when they are awake.
All it takes is a little peaceful time, a book and a soft
pillow,
And before you know it you are off on another adventure
Created by you, narrated by you and acted by you.
The cast of characters can be as many or as few has you choose.
The object of your dream is not merely to amuse but to ensure
you never lose.
So remember as you lay and slumber each night
There is someone who is always in sight
Thru the darkness they peer into your rooms where you sleep.
And dry your tears should you start to weep.
They are gone with the coming of day, just like your dreams.
So take it from me and enjoy the night. It may be delightful but
it may be a fright.
Where ever it takes you, you will be safe in my arms,
I will protect you from evil no matter the form
Draw closer to me as you slumber with the light shining bright.
Remember your loved ones and have a good night.
