****** Ormie's Drunken Meatballs RECIPE *****
"Ormie" is Ormonde Butler Deery.
This is her creation from the very early ‘60’s.
Over the years the recipe has been tried and tested by the best of them.
A great accompaniment to any social gathering. Serve very warm.
Remember toothpicks, or your dearest friends will take advantage of your good will by using tablespoons!

Serves 12

INGREDIENTS:
* 1 bag frozen meatballs
* 1 cup brown sugar
* 1 cup hot ketchup (or mix with regular ketchup to taste)
* 1 1/2 cups Myers's Rum (or Cruzan or other)
* 1 tbs Cooking Oil
Directions:
1.Bring oil to frying heat
2.Place and roll meatballs around pot until golden brown
3.Add all other ingredients, and mix together
4.Cook on medium-low heat for 2 hours, stirring occassionally.
5.Apply additional rum as needed
